How to Use Google Maps for Directions
Using either the Map or the Map Listing along the left hand side, will provide you with directions to the location of your choice.
Getting directions with the Map
To begin, click on a requested location on the map
Once clicked, a bubble from the map will appear
Next, in the ‘Get Driving Directions to here From:’ text field, enter your starting point. For instance, the address of your hotel or your home address.
*Please Note:The address must be entered straight across. For example:
222 Waverly Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13244
Finally, click 
and a new browser window will display the directions to the requested location.
Getting directions with the Map Listing
Below the map on the left hand side, there will be a list of locations. Select the location from which you want directions to.
Next to the list, content will be generated containing generic directions to the location requested.
Scroll to the bottom of the page below the generic directions and a text field labeled ‘Get Driving Directions to here From:’ will appear. In the text field, enter your starting point. For instance, the address of your hotel or your home address.

Finally, click and a new browser window will display the directions to the requested location.
